Lovely afternoon

The candle was given to me by Gareth’s mum, and I lit it tonight. 
I still woke at 6 this morning, which actually would have been 5, so I went back to bed and slept another hour. 
Not knowing what time Stef would message I cracked on and got the other bench and two garden chairs painted. dog hobbling worse today, not putting his foot to the floor at all, so I only walked him round the block. 
I got a message to say the Stef and co were back from their walk about 3 and that dinner would be at 6 and I should go as soon as possible. It was so kind of her son and his partner to invite and for the first time in a couple of years I had a full home cooked roast lamb with all the eggs and trimmings. It was delicious. The family were informal and so welcoming. I’ve not seen Adam since he was about 17, and there we were blowing bubbles for his two girls! How time flies. Stef is loving being at the Dockyard and is loving being needed for expertise again. It was a lovelY afternoon!
