Surely you must have guessed by now….

Okay… it’s the Pleasure Beach on Blackpool Seafront.

Last year, my marriage ended after 21 years, for a number of reasons. Summing up, we had simply grown apart.

Since then, I met a lovely lady at a friends birthday party and have become really close to her as time has gone on. Her youngest son was diagnosed a few years ago with a life limiting, muscle wasting condition, which effectively limits what he can do from day to day. This weekend was to support and give her son the chance of an active weekend while he is still able to walk. So, yesterday, he was able to ride the Pepsi Max Big One. Today, we were all water babies in a nearby Waterpark before relaxing on a historic tram ride along the Golden Mile. I had wanted my own children to come along too, but there will be plenty other opportunities for them all to meet up.

There’s loads more photos on my big camera, but this iPhone seems to take a reasonable shot, as long as the lighting conditions are right. Once I’m back in Birmingham tomorrow afternoon, I’ll upload more onto my iMac and see what they look like.

For now, I’ll put the phone down and unwind with a small glass of something cold…
