Hello!

It’s been 1 year since we moved to Gloucester so I thought it was time for an update and who knows, maybe I’ll start blipping again.

We absolutely love living down here. S is doing really well at school and has caught up with her classmates. She has learnt to swim and her favourite thing about living here is how close we are to my sister and nephew (new niece/nephew imminently arriving!).
Cannon also loves living here, he started a new job 6 months ago for a water pipe company (moling pipes underground), he really enjoys it and gets to see lots of interesting places. He loves going out on his mountain bike and visiting his friends from back home.
I really miss Mull (mostly my friends and family) but I’m happy to be here. I started my dream job in January - I’m a commissioning officer for my local Constabulary’s Police and Crime Commissioner. It’s a combination of 3 things I’m passionate about - public service/police work, grant giving and preventing violence against women and girls. It’s been a big change getting used to full time work but it’s nice earning my own money for the first time in ages.
We are still in the same little house, it’s fine for now but we would like something a bit bigger this year if we can find it.
Jess is living happily with an older couple who live very remotely on Mull - I don’t keep in touch to be honest as I find it very hard.
