Spices

After spending time in the hotel R, K and I walked back to the Jewish quarter in search of spices and possible presents for family. It was a mixed experience. The stall holder in the photo managed to educate us on various spices but then proceeded to sell us twice the quantity of Ras el-Hanouf and Moroccan tea than we wanted, which left a slightly soured end to our visit there. We walked back through motorbike hell parts of the siuk as well as quiet parts and then had a pleasant evening in the hotel, but I decided I am not going back into motorbike hell again. I feel very strongly that Marrakech needs to stop bikers just driving aggressively through the narrow souk streets if they are interested in increasing their tourist trade.
