Good Friday .
We made the most of the sunshine and took an early walk over the ridge that runs nearby . The extra is of the tadpoles that are wriggling and writhing in their hundreds around the edge of the pool . They seemed to be surrounded by sludge of some sort so I wonder how well they will do .
The Gorse is out , creating yellow islands of cheerfulness on the landscape.
Later , on the plot , Various seeds were planted alongside the crocosima corms and then later still I made soup and a butternut squash stew for our visit ,on Sunday , to Chesterfield. Whilst I prepared the veg I listened to The Rest is Politics and drank red wine ( for medicinal purposes} Some of the soup is for Jess who has got bacterial tonsillitis and is finding it hard to swallow.
