Unexpected beauty .

A river runs nearby , not the prettiest stretch , and when I peeped through a hole in the substantial ( water board ) stone wall that runs alongside the river this is what I saw . The sun was shining on it this morning so the yellow of the flowers glowed , when I went back this evening the colours were quieter but still lovely.
The extra is of Freya and her daddy in a different river , equipped for whatever the elements might throw their way .
The sun shone , the children and Bramble frolicked , sure footed, in the flowing water and fun was had . Afterwards we went back to Jessica’s, swapped Easter gifts and ate pizza .
The sun continued to shine and so I managed to tick off quite a few garden jobs . Wishing you all a very pleasant Easter weekend.
