Holy Saturday

When I was little Easter was such a very special time with lovely Polish traditions.
During Holy Week we decorated eggs with dyes and then patterns .
On Holy Saturday we took a basket of decorated eggs, some Easter food, flowers, greenery and a special Paschal Lamb.. made out of sugar, to Church to have it blessed , The lamb in this photo must be over thirty years old.. and very special!
Some of the eggs were decorated by my mum , many many years ago.. and some by me.
Today has been a lovely Saturday.. warm and sunny and spent in my Easter Spring garden.. with even more blossom opening up( see extra)
