Flower Friday ...

... first bumble bee!
 
As I sat outside this morning photographing whatever came into view I saw something fly by me.  I knew it was smaller than a bird but bigger than a honey bee.

I could see that whatever it was flew into the vinca minor (or periwinkle) flowers growing near the fence.  It took some minutes before I located it but was then very excited to see my first bumble bee of the year!  This isn't the best picture as I was shooting with the long lens but I'm still pleased with it.  The focus isn't what it should be.
