Still life

We had a lovely supper party last night. So glad we didn't cancel it due to my foot.. we all knew each other well enough for me to sit with my foot on another chair during supper and we kept it simple which was lucky as the range temperature dropped and barely was able to roast our little bit of lamb. However it did manage and a fun time was had by all.. very cheering for my rather depressed mood.  
This morning I cannot get a shoe on .. but enjoyed the candle stump and tulip bunch in the sunshine at breakfast.. now the rest of the day will be spent with foot above hip.. I am enjoying the sunshine pouring through the window
