Merrick Finds the Heron Mojo

Me, Doug, and Merrick got out to the shore, only to discover that we had left the best camera at home. Oops. So, Merrick got the 2nd string camera, Doug got the 3rd string, and I had to dig into the bowels of the van to weed out the 4th-stringer. 

Between the 3 of us, we really had this blue heron covered. Merrick bagged the main spot, Doug is in the first extra, and my picture brings up the rear.

We tried to eat some seafood tonight, but when we got to the restaurant just before 5 p.m., there were LOTS of old people waiting to get in, DON'T THESE OLDSTERS HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO? It reminded me of one of Lisa's dads favorite joke.

Q. What is the state bird of Florida? A. The early bird!

After eating someplace else and taking pictures, we went to Wendy's to sample the new flavor of Frosty...dreamsicle. It was supposed to resemble the old orange creamsicle, but...but...I thought it was awful. Not much orange taste, and certainly nothing like the old ice cream bar.
