Congratulations and Celebrations

After the trials and tribulations of recent weeks, it was a welcome relief to have a day off from it all today to celebrate Mr P’s birthday!
We spent the morning walking on Tyninghame beach with our friends Kate and Graham (very cold and we got soaked) and then after our lunch at the Smithy (worth a visit) we headed to Dunbar (still cold but sunny) for the afternoon. In the evening, our friends headed back to Peebles and we went to son no 1’s flat in Leith. He and his girlfriend treated us to a fantastic meal at Tapa on the Shore, followed by homemade chocolate birthday cake (yummy) back at their flat. I drove us all back to Peebles. Very late now but I’ll catch up with journals in the morning.
