Doocot at Dirleton Castle

Joined Historic Scotland (very reasonable) and took a trip to Dirleton (near North Berwick) to see the castle. This a shot inside the Doocot which used to house up to 2000 pigeons at a time. The eggs (and the pigeons) were a source of food for the occupants of the castle.

I'll post some pictures of the castle on Flickr later but in the meantime there's some info here.
