Roll With It

What A Day

Having accumulated enough hours asleep over the last two day to ensure I was fully recharged today it was “Up & At ’Em Chatham”, (it’s an old Navy thing).

Sam and I headed over to Truro Rugby Club for the Cornwall Women’s Rugby Cup day.
Teams from Launceston, Helston, Truro, Penryn, Newquay and the Cornish Barbarians were to play in a ‘Round Robin’ day.
Launceston & Penryn were the favourites to make the top two, the Baa Baa’s as a composite team unable to win were there to provide some opposition.
Super proud that Sam was wearing a Cornwall Shirt and representing her county.

They put up a creditable performance in all their matches, particularly in the scrum where they never once went backwards all day.
This was Sam’s first experience of ‘full contact including contested scrums’ and she did herself proud either side of the hooker.

The last match was the icing on the cake when the Baa Baa’s, with a good contingent from Falmouth, downed Penryn quite comprehensively.

The Baa Baa’s in Hawaiian Shirts in the clubhouse for a beer, some traditions are worth upholding.
