Angelica

Finally summer! It was sunny and warm (nearly) and beautiful. We went down to the old harbour for lunch at Icelandic Fish and Chips. They have the best deep fried fish I have ever eaten, no real chips though, but very yummy baked potatoes. We walked around in the harbour, which they have made really nice, although it could be anywhere in the world; it's international beauty.
In the afternoon we walked down to the river where indigenous plants are blooming. I so like these angelicas, which are protected now. In the past people used every part of the plant, for aquavitae, jam, soup, tea, medicine and probably more.
