Shapinsay Seals

A cycle round Shapinsay, which usually means a photo of the harbour seals at Balfour village. This was taken by the island shop and I didn't want to get 
closer and disturb them. There were fifteen here, and two grey seals off Ness in the far NE point of the island. Birds included a pair of shelduck, 275 plus long-tailed ducks, 3 whooper swans etc. Also the first three gannets I have seen for a  while heading possibly to the large colony which is found on Noup Head on Westray every year.
