Craft group
Today I woke with a wobbly feeling. My ears feel blocked so I feel unsteady.
Luckily I didn’t have a lot to do. It has been another grey morning but it brightened up in the afternoon. However I couldn’t enjoy the walk along the track to Katy’s Mum’s house as Ros can’t drive or walk any distance so I offered to drive her. She’s on sticks and morphine, waiting for a new hip.
The craft group are a very nice group of women. Katy’s mum, in her 90s, has dementia but is able to stay in her own house with carers coming in, plus Katy or Colin call in every day. It was a good idea to have the group meet there as she enjoyed the company - her fun and witty personality still shines through.
I took my crochet as I can do it and listen to chat at the same time, whereas with the Shetland coat I need complete silence. I was sitting beside Carey who is learning to embroider so I was able to help her with a new stitch. She’s going to her house in Greece for 3 weeks so maybe she’ll have time to practice there. I’m going to need to watch YouTube to try to re-learn some of the crochet stitches which I’ve not done since lockdown.
This beautiful quilting is being done by Dee. Others are doing stitching or tapestry and Ros is knitting.
Mr C has had a load of logs delivered but they need splitting so he’ll be busy.
