Wet weather task

I've had a frustrating time checking our herbs and spices for expiry dates. It is so difficult to see the dates which are mostly printed on the base of the jar - why do that? As you can see I've solved that problem for now.
I like to use herbs and spices pretty well within date. It's a bit of amusement within the family that my sister-in-law has been known to use jars that are up to five years old
