Burleigh Surf Club

We chose, actually Mum chose, the local funeral director’s in Burleigh, so that’s where her funeral was held. The lovely woman chaplain officiated, a poem was read, family members spoke, a slideshow - or pictorial reflection, as it was called - was shown to The Corries’ Will Ye Go Lassie Go. Afternoon tea was had.

Afterwards the immediate family, a best friend or two, odd cousins and a stray in-law went to the surf club for drinks and an early dinner.

It all went very well.
