Pride Rock

Kinder Scout
Kinder Scout is a moorland plateau and National Nature Reserve in the Dark Peak of the Derbyshire Peak District in England. Part of the moor, at 636 metres (2,087 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in the Peak District, the highest point in Derbyshire, and the highest point in the East Midlands. In excellent weather conditions the city of Manchester and the Greater Manchester conurbation can be seen, as well as Winter Hill near Bolton, and the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales.

10 mile "photography walk " today, although I spent so much time watching where I was putting my feet that I didn't get to take as many photos as I would have liked.
I have climbed rocks , crossed streams and made the tortuous descent of Jacob's ladder - and survived, but only just!
I expect I shall ache even more tomorrow.

I have called my blip Pride Rock after my sense of pride in actually completing this walk. It is part of the rock strewn landscape of the summit of Kinder Scout.
