back in the day - when easter time came around - my mama would hard - boil a lot of eggs - for us kiddos and we - would then gather ‘round - our kitchen table where - she had set up - bowls filled with a - variety of liquid colors - stickers and decals for us - to use with said eggs

things were rather plain - and ordinary in our house - in those days - but we didn’t notice or care - my mama didn’t really - have that artistic touch - and she didn’t need to - we adored her for - the wholehearted effort she - always made for us - that’s what mattered most

but these days - you see eggs decorated - full tilt and in all kinds of colors - there is every kind you - might imagine and my thoughts - wandered as i engaged - in coloring this one - memories overwhelming me and making it…
