Rainy Day and Lots of Play

The kids are out of school for Easter vacation. Parker’s school lacrosse team decided to play in a tournament. The fields were in a park 1.75 hours from home. We left this morning at 8:45, giving ourselves a little extra time since we weren’t positive where we were going. As you can see, it was quite overcast when we left our county. Jamie and Renee also went in her new car, a Nissan Armada. We found our way with no issues. Well, except it started to rain and is still raining as we head home at 5:00 pm. We thought we were adequately prepared for the weather - not. We are going to put together a checklist to include extra gloves, socks and shoes, preferably waterproof boots at the top of the list. Parker’s team was undefeated. Those poor young men were soaked and probably very cold since temps were in the mid 40°F. We were happy to be there to support Parker and his team. Hubby and I found a Tex Mex restaurant for lunch/dinner where we could use our gift cards. We are in rush hour traffic now and cars are bumper to bumper. We’ve passed one accident so far. We should get home around 6:45. I cannot wait to be away from these crazy drivers. My first plan is to make a warm cup of tea and climb under a blanket to warm my feet. Hope you had a dry day. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “The rain doesn't ruin plans; it creates unexpected adventures.” - lovetoknow.com
