Slimbridge Shelduck

We went to Slimbridge today with a few others from my camera club. We were escorted by David Broadbent a professional photographer.
We were a bit unlucky in that the worst period of weather of the whole day occurred when we were in the kingfisher hide. It was pouring down and very windy and unsurprisingly the kingfishers were mostly hiding although we did see one.
I think Shelducks are my new favourite birds! Well waterfowl anyway.  I also liked the Tufted ducks which seem to paddle around with a little smile on their face.
