Lilac-breasted Roller

After a 3 hour ride to Zimanga, we were picked up by the lodge jeeps and drove another 20 minutes to the lodge.  During that ride we saw giraffes, hippos, rhinos, and an assortment of other animals of which I have not yet learned the names.  After a brief orientation where we were divided into groups and given our schedule, then lunch and time for us to grab our photo gear, we headed out for a drive.  No sooner had Wendy mentioned her desire to see a Lilac-breasted Roller, that saw one.  Their colors are amazing. 

During our drive we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras and the biggest thrill of all was to get out of the jeep with the Cheetahs who were resting in the grass and completely unphased by us.   Lots of pictures to process and very little time tonight as we have to be ready to roll tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.
