Friendship
Isn’t it strange how we sometimes cross paths with strangers who then become friends. Our elderly neighbour T died just over a year ago. He (and his late wife who we also knew) were both poorly and frail towards the end of their lives. We helped them with food shopping and whenever we could as and when. As a result we met their niece and her husband and who have since become good friends. We’ve found that we have much in common, including our love of food.
So today we took them to The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe for a very delicious lunch.
This was my dessert, a brûlée lemon tart with lemon ice cream, meringues, blood orange segments and candied orange peel.
No dinner for me tonight!
