Chinkwell Tor

I met up with my pal John at Bonehill Rocks on Dartmoor this afternoon. From there we walked up past Bell Tor to Chinkwell Tor. I've not been up that way before and it was quite a revelation. There are lots of lovely rock formations carved by the wind, I'd presume and a grand view over Hound Tor and as far as Okehampton. The light this afternoon was lovely but there was a chilly wind. We'd intended to stay out for the sunset but the sun dropped into a bank of cloud and we repaired to the pub at Widecombe for a meal and a pint.
