Harp

Rehearsing and writing music most of the day so, a normal day.

In the evening a friend of mine and myself went across the bridge to the castle in Kalmar, where a fabulous musician was giving a concert on the 'Key-harp', or "Nyckelharpa" as is the name for it in Sweden. The artist, Emilia Amper born just outside of Kalmar in '81, started playing at the age of ten and is now one of Swedens most well known players of the  instrument. The Key-harp was once a simple instrument on the verge of being extinct but was deconstructed, improved and played by two men in the county of Uppland, near Stockholm. Today, thanks to many young, excellent musicians, it has spread literally across the world and can be found in Japan, Australia as well as in Africa and all of America. Listen to Emilia here.
