Geocaching in Macclesfield
Paul and I went over to do some geocaching in Macclesfield today. One of the stages of the adlab was at the old Labour Exchange where Ian Curtis, the lead singer of Joy Division, used to work. As a fan who was aware of the background and who was fortunate to see them back in the day I found it very interesting. It is commemorated with a plaque depicting the cover of the first album but with no other description I guess the significance would be a mystery to most people. I suspect the minimalist approach is a tribute to Factory Records.
