St. John's wort

The bright yellow flowers form around the end of June to commemorate St. John the Baptist feast day. It is well known for helping with depression as it is a tonic for the nervous system. If you pick the yellow flowers and soak them in olive oil, the oil will turn red due to the coloring on the stamina which look black but are in fact dark red. The oil has been used to prevent sunburn and to help heal nerve wounds.
