Day trip

I was up early today to go on my tour/day out. Unfortunately my driver, Naveen, doesn't speak much English (or get my accent) but we managed to muddle through. We went to Charmundi Hill first, and visited the Chamundeswari temple and the Nandi bull temple (today's blip). After that I went to the zoological gardens, the Krishnarajasagara Dam, and the adjoining Brindavan Gardens. I've had a lot of people asking for photos today, it gets really annoying and everyone looks at me as if I'm being unreasonable for saying no.
The tour finished by visiting Mysore Palace at night, for one hours at the weekends over 10,000 bulbs illuminate it (it looks spectacular!) By chance I met up with some people I know and we went for an impromptu meal out to a place called the Olive Garden, and hopefully we'll meet up again tomorrow before they leave for Bangalore.
It was good to see the city at night, it's something I haven't experienced much since coming to India.
