Signal cannon

At the Lyon & Turnbull saleroom; these came from Towie Barclay Castle in Aberdeenshire most recently, collected there by the late Marc Ellington, whom my parents knew vaguely. The burr walnut wardrobe on the left  came from Penicuik House. The stuff from Penicuik is generally in rather better condition. 

Went up the hill from there to Real Foods to get ingredients for the nut loaf; made it and baked it in the evening. The silicon 'tin' worked as described, turning out the loaf easily. 

Had a quick walk early on before the rain started; then it was wet all day. 7C high. Seeing snow on the Ochil hills this morning (26 March)
