I'm Early

It wasn't supposed to snow this afternoon, but it did anyway. I walked around aimlessly for a bit, trying to capture the falling snow without much success.

Then I came across a sandhill crane wondering about in the snow. Handily, s/he struck a stationary pose for me in this image.

Later, the bird went down into the water, for a drink I think as I believe they don't fish. I wondered whether they found the snow confusing, because they usually probe the ground for food.
