Exeter Cathedral

As the forecast had promised, today was wet and a bit blustery, so when Mr PB went off to Exeter races, I had a leisurely day shopping (mainly of the window variety) around the city. It has a great blend of chains and independent shops, and they seem to have seamlessly blended the old and the new. Some great town planning. The cathedral is splendid and in a lovely setting. Since reading The Pillars of the Earth recently, I have a new- found appreciation of ecclesiastical architecture.
