Before and After Coal

A miserable wet cold day, a good one to spend indoors at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. I was prompted to visit after reading about the latest exhibition there featuring American photographer Milton Rogovin who back in early 1980s came to Scotland to photograph miners at the pit, in their homes and at the local mining social centres.
