The Fuzzy Alarm Clock

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Jasper is amazing. I sometimes wonder if he has a wristwatch under his fur. 

You'll see here it is 12:50pm and Jasper is presenting himself for a scratch on the ottoman*. 

He ALWAYS gets a scratch on the ottoman at around 1pm. It's just his thing. 

He also wakes me up consistently at 5am every morning. Although he also insists on a night-time cuddle at approximately 3.30am as well. I usually (but not always) manage to get back to sleep with him in my arms. 

Punky also runs pretty much like clockwork. But he's nowhere near as accurate as Jasper. I wonder if Jasper is secretly listening to the World Service and listening out for the pips.

* We've been having chats at work about the use of the word "ottoman". To us Poms, an ottoman is a stool thing which opens up and you can store things inside. But to Kiwis it is anything larger than a footstool upon which you can put your feet. Luke and I tried saying that this is a "pouffe" but the Kiwis just laugh at us.
