They left about two hours before this image. Sheets blowing in the wind, bedrooms cleared and cleaned. Duvet is sitting on empty beds. A sterile space.

We had fun meeting the family, getting to know and reaquaint with people over food, walks, pub quizzes, cards, and games. Last night we had our first meal with both kids and their partners. It was so special.

They left mid-morning, car parked to the gunnels. My boy was nervous about the drive. He has never driven this far before and until recently hadn't driven a car for several years. But he did good - well after arriving at the service station heading North instead of South. Tee hee.

They are in Knaresborough overnight. I am sure it was an emotional reunion with his grandparents. Tomorrow, they head to Leamington Spa. To the flat we found. It's comforting to have the mind map of the area and their flat. They are excited with a hint of nervous.
