Last knight at the Prom
A cold, strong wind, but beautiful Maldon Prom parkrun was fun with several reasons to celebrate:
David, Gs work mate (a member of Suffolk Swords) ran it in full armour. He has run several different events wearing the armour and today was our turn.
'Phil the Force' ran his 250 - a fab friend from Soul Runners
Cindy cheered us all on for her 50th volunteer
The lady who fell last week made a point of thanking me once again for my help
Jean's husband, Ron really enjoyed the photography - fingers crossed that he will be keen to return. And she was delighted with her PB.
Lots of friendly parkrunners to greet before, during and after the run
But mostly I loved it because I was able to run with C who was down from Hull. The wind was on our noses all the way back from Bridnoth, I had to stop to tie my lace, Cs hairband worked loose, but none of that stopped us from having a lovely run.
After parkrun we met up with D for breakfast at Sofie's whilst processing the results. Then we spent some time in the garden and made a lemonade with grape hyacinth that we harvested. Delicious.
