Simply Red……..

Apparently the Aurora australis is visible from many parts of New Zealand at the moment……. Particularly the more southern parts of the country. Sadly there was no chance of us, here in Blenheim, seeing the magic due to cloud cover. However, a consolation, the dawn sky was magnificent albeit fleetingly. This scene was captured from the River paths looking up to the approaches of the High Street Bridge.
I raked and mowed the lawns early this afternoon. There are more weeds than grass in the lawns… not helped by the current drought.
