Caught

Yesterday evening D. saw a little visitor in our floor in the basement. She built a barrier, so it could not possibly try to feel comfortable in our stock of things for Christmas.
Later we found two of the three different types of mousetraps. But before we could decide which one to use D. went downstairs and was lucky to catch the mouse with a plastic box. Although it was a young animal and quite lively when we had a closer look at it, using a torch, it was not fast enough for lightning McD.
With the box closed with a big piece of cardboard we carried the intruder to a garden of a more distant neighbour. Hopefully he will be lucky there and not find his way back to our house :)
Must have been interesting, two people with some box and a torch, past midnight, walking to a garden and dumping something there. Hmmm.
