Meeting Julia

It’s been a looong day but a very welcome sunny one. It was so sunny in fact that I nipped down to Porty early for a dip before coming home to set the table for the influx of family to meet Julia. I was in the water before 8:50am and home by 10am thanks to splashing the cash on an Uber for the return journey. There was no wind in this part of the city but it was quite breezy by the shore, but not cold in the sun.

The Glasgow family arrived at 1pm and the rest straggled in over the next hour. Wine was drunk, food was eaten, Julia entertained us and then everyone left and silence returned. 
The sun is still shining at 6pm and people are sitting on the Meadows as if it were springtime ……. which it officially is, but I never never take anything for granted, certainly not  having read next week’s weather forecast.
