View from the old church

Adjacent to the present parish church in Arrochar lie the ruins of an earlier place of worship closely linked to the chieftains of the Clan Macfarlane.

Since the old church fell into disrepair it has become the burial place of many Macfarlanes.

This view is taken from the inside looking through the west door towards Loch Long, which is visible but rather grey today, and The Cobbler. What a peaceful place.
