A long walk to Porty
Today we went to Portobello to see our friend, Iain. We walked the long route which involved going through the Hermitage, Inch Park, Craigmillar Castle Park, the paths at the back of the Royal Infirmary, Greendykes, Craigmillar and Bingham. We walked for almost 2.5 hours which Ann reckons was about 7 miles. Unfortunately our Strava app (which measures how far we walk) decided to stop working after 4.23 miles. Grrrrrr..............
Went into the Epsy Bar on Porty Prom and I had to lie down in 'good dog mode' and watch Ann feed Chilli Beef Nachos into her tummy and she didn't share! After that, Iain said that they would take me for a run on the beach.
Mmmmmm................... Iain doesn't really do outdoorsy things. I found a rather lovely stick and he threw it for me a couple of times, but then he was fed up with my 'run on the beach', so he drove us to the no. 5 bus stop and we jumped on a bus and came home.
Although our Strava app stopped working, Ann's phone is telling us that we've walked 23,329 steps today, so we rewarded ourselves with a little snooze when we got in. Lol!
….............And in other news................... for those of you who have been waiting with bated breath for the publication of Ann's book, ''My life in lockdown'.................... today, 4 years after Boris said, 'You must stay at home', Ann has published the introduction. You can read it here. The rest of the story will follow, when and if, she has the motivation to do so. It's all written. She now just needs to work out how to get it online because, as you all know; she is not the most techy person in the world. #watchthisspace
