TROMPE L'OEIL

There are a few streets nearby where "stuff" happens and houses get boarded up, usually with uniform tan-coloured chipboard which doesn't do much for the atmosphere of the streets, or probably for the morale of those families trying to carry on with normal lives in between the empty houses. I was coming back along this street from the park when I spotted these fake doors and windows on a couple of houses. In fact it was the relative smartness of them that stopped me and made me look closer. I wonder whether they'll have a positive effect.
