Prisoner no more

A trip up to Cork, this photo is part of an exhibition called A Matter of Time in the Crawford Gallery. This image was from The People's Portraits by Amanda Dunsmore and was part of 100 glass negatives she printed. They were originally taken at Armagh prison between 1899 and 1918 by two prison officers trained as photographers, P. Egan and M. Cronin.
