Sunshine in a vase...
Daffodowndilly
She wore her yellow sun-bonnet
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead."

The daffodils were tight buds yesterday. Their scent when I came into the kitchen this morning was wonderful. The scent of spring. I love having flowers in the house all year round but the little, early spring bunches of daffodils and tulips are my absolute favourite.
Lola was at the vet this afternoon to have blood taken for her annual titre test. Hopefully the results will show she has immunity to the diseases the core vaccines normally cover. Over-vaccination of cats and dogs is a real issue and something we've always been keen to avoid. Lola will be seven in June and so far she's only needed one booster since her puppy jabs.
D says that she was made a complete fuss of by the reception staff (as always), which of course she loved. When the vet appeared she was less certain but was very good and let the vet trim a little bit of her leg hair and didn't fuss at all at having the blood taken.
She came home sporting a little bandage around her leg and was keen to show it to me and get cuddles and some watermelon as a reward for her good behaviour, then within five minutes her seamstress teeth had the bandage unwrapped and off!
Neither of us could be bothered cooking so we ordered a Chinese takeaway then snoozed in front of the tv!
Have a great weekend peeps :-)
