Walked through the woods to Bassenthwaite this morning.  I was glad I had my wellies on as had to wade through parts of the footpath which was under water.  Misty having a paddle in extras.  Another in extras of a memorial a few miles down the road from Bassenthwaite IN MEMORY OF THOSE FROM ABOVE DERWENT WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR  1914-1918 OF WHOM THE FOLLOWING GAVE THEIR LIVES  ... (I won't list the names)  Anyhow we had a lovely two walks in the sunshine and had rain on and off this afternoon.
