Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 305

A souvenir of yesterday's fun on the prom to celebrate summer. These knitted favours and improving texts stuck to the sign that updates remotely with information about the water quality of the sea were all that remained from yesterday's busy programme of events. Among the attractions were wind yachts, pony rides, climbing wall, football events on beach and prom, face painting and face painted policewomen letting children sit in the mobile jail at the back of their police van. Unrealated to this event two tornado grey RAF Typhoons streaked up the Forth and slowed down to fly over Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee as part of Armed Forces Day celebrations. ( I am grateful to my sister who lives in Derby for alerting me to this flypast as it did not seem to have been widely advertised here!)
It is a warm and almost sunny day on the Promenade today. Good day for a Blipmeet!
