Well, that's a surprise...

I had no idea what this was when I started looking at it - I was attracted by it's rather punk-looking haircut... but then I've never grown onions - I get mine ready grown and cut from our local farm shop... And yes, that's exactly what this is - the flower of a lovely Welsh onion - would you have known that?
