Iceland - Day 1

Up at 4 to drive to Ely to meet 50 students and their parents. Coach late. Boarded and discovered it was too small. Had to remove cases - the first of many loads and unloads over the next 5 days. Replacement coach arrived and off to Stansted. Through security with various issues with students being searched, and then departure lounge. Boarded and set off on time and landed early. Met driver Eva, and down into the city after getting soaked at the Bridge across the Continents. Walked through the city and to the Lava Show at the harbour (pictured) - lava poured into the room and demonstrations on how it behaved. Out to the Hotel Vellir and checked in - food and a drink once students all settled. Up most of the night as the teacher I was sharing with snored like an absolute b*****d....
