Perkins Cove

We were relieved to see grass and not snow this morning, but it was very cold and windy • After checkout we headed to Perkins Cove again hoping to find the female common loon we saw yesterday, a first time sighting for us both. Every photo I took was crappola so MrsP suggested we stop by before heading home • Unfortunately no luck seeing the loon but we did find two mallard couples along an inlet, with this resting pair as our favorite • We’re now home, unpacked; MrsP is busy doing dishes, and I’ve got laundry going. Newt is ignoring us, but Ducky is curled up in my lap • MrsP extends big Thanks and Hugs to all of you for your wonderful birthday wishes. She says “blippers are so thoughtful!” • Yep, they are!
