The rain held off until I’d done some outdoor tasks. Birds fed, wheelie bin out and in, two bags of garden waste to the recycling site, garden tools I’d left outdoors back undercover and more.
A pair of greenfinches are regulars on the sunflower heart feeder now but unlike the tits which are always on the move they perch for ages while eating. Chaffinches were underneath eating what they knocked out. Spotted a goldfinch twice in the hedge but didn’t see it on a feeder. No bullfinches this year though.
I drove past this huge truck, parked and wandered back for a photo, just in case I didn’t get anything better later. The restaurant here has been closed for 3 or 4 years so it will be interesting to see what opens next.
